Roger Warfield Smith, Support & Maintenance Manager

Roger has been with NEXA for the past 9 years when it is was literally a 5 man show! Now in his carefully crafted area of the new NEXA offices, Roger managers a team of 5 support crew who work 24/7, 365 days a year, to ensure our clients can access the right level of support, whenever they need it.

Prior to NEXA, Roger worked at IT Evolution as a Senior IT Consultant. There he Managed various customers IT Systems alleviating their need to have their own IT Departments.
He’s a MotoGP Racer at heart but has been building, remodelling and supporting computer-related hardware & software since the Commodore 64 was released.

Paul Rafferty, IT Support Analyst

I’ve worked in the IT Support industry for 18 years. My first role was providing support to Politicians and Party Support staff in the then fledgling Northern Ireland Assembly when it was first formed as a result of the Good Friday agreement and Peace Process in Northern Ireland. After 7 very interesting and challenging years working closely with the wide and varying personalities of NI’s Politicians, I came to Australia for a 10 month trip and 11 years later find myself a duel citizen living and working in the vibrant and exciting city I first landed in all those years ago.

I’ve found that every day at NEXA is a school day, learning about the challenges and support needs of NEXA’s extensive customer base. The team’s positive attitude to finding a solution to each and every case that comes into our work area is infectious and creates a great working environment to come into every morning!

When I’m not in the office I can be found training and teaching Taekwondo in my local Dojang or exercising the creative side of my brain by getting behind the easel and painting / sketching.

Claude D’Alessio, IT Support Analyst

As an IT Support Analyst at NEXA, I am responsible for managing the NEXA Support ticketing system via ZOHO. I love the challenge of resolving issues well within our SLA’s whilst providing exceptional customer service. Information systems and their limitless capabilities have always interested me and compelled me to acquire a Degree in IT and a Diploma in Network Engineering before starting work at Harvey Norman and Apple before I joined NEXA in 2014. When I’m not in IT mode, you’ll find me watching or playing soccer or riding my motorcycle.

Steven Tu, Senior Solutions Architect

As one of NEXA’s first employees, I have loved watching this business grow and diversify. I am a Senior System Engineer and provide level 2 & 3 support, manage AWS client hosting and involved with hardware staging and onsite installation. I’m extremely proud to have rolled out all 83 (and counting) of the Service NSW installations across the State. I have a Computer Science degree with an engineering background and I’m a qualified electrician! My experience includes managing AWS, Microsoft SQL Server, Mirth Connect, HL7, T-SQL, C#, .NET, HTML5, Objective-C. I’m passionate about healthy eating after losing 22kg’s recently and enjoy playing badminton.

Eric Nguyen, Junior IT Support Analyst

I am NEXA’s newest member of the Support team, joining as their Junior IT Support Analyst, and previously I worked at Datacom as a Customer Service Representative. I’m currently studying at UTS, majoring in Information Systems and Finance.

Outside of work you can spot me wearing a Miami Heat jersey watching the NBA. On the weekends, you can find me playing in a basketball comp.
