Roger Warfield Smith, Support & Maintenance Manager

Roger has been with NEXA for the past 7 years when it is was literally a 5 man show! Now in his carefully crafted area of the new NEXA offices, Roger managers a team of 5 support crew who work 24/7, 365 days a year, to ensure our clients can access the right level of support, whenever they need it.

Prior to NEXA, Roger worked at IT Evolution as a Senior IT Consultant. There he Managed various customers IT Systems alleviating their need to have their own IT Departments.
He’s a MotoGP Racer at heart but has been building, remodelling and supporting computer-related hardware & software since the Commodore 64 was released.

Barney Lau, System Engineer

After completing my Bachelor of Engineering in Software, I spent over 4 years as a web developer. In my current role as Systems Engineer, I’m responsible for our AWS Cloud SysOps, System Deployment & Implementation and Level 2 Support. When I am not studying for my AWS SysOps Associate Certification, I am an active member of my Church and I have been fortunate to go on some incredible missions abroad. I am also an avid board game player and love spending time with my family.

Bassel Chamseddine, IT Support Analyst

I joined NEXA in January of 2018 as an IT Support Analyst after working for Telstra for 2 years. I spend most my day ensuring client systems are up and running, resolving service tickets in a timely manner and in accordance with our Service Level Agreements, as well as building, packing, and shipping of hardware. My main aim is to provide an exceptional experience for all our clients.

I possess a variety of skills such as programming (C++, MATLAB, and SQL), Mathematical, and Technical skills. I am mostly passionate about science and technology, specifically the field of Quantum mechanics and computation. I also am a great lover of all sports

Claude D’Alessio, IT Support Analyst

As an IT Support Analyst at NEXA, I am responsible for managing the NEXA Support ticketing system via ZOHO. I love the challenge of resolving issues well within our SLA’s whilst providing exceptional customer service. Information systems and their limitless capabilities have always interested me and compelled me to acquire a Degree in IT and a Diploma in Network Engineering before starting work at Harvey Norman and Apple before I joined NEXA in 2014. When I’m not in IT mode, you’ll find me watching or playing soccer or riding my motorcycle.

Steven Tu, Senior Solutions Architect

As one of NEXA’s first employees, I have loved watching this business grow and diversify. I am a Senior System Engineer and provide level 2 & 3 support, manage AWS client hosting and involved with hardware staging and onsite installation. I’m extremely proud to have rolled out all 83 (and counting) of the Service NSW installations across the State. I have a Computer Science degree with an engineering background and I’m a qualified electrician! My experience includes managing AWS, Microsoft SQL Server, Mirth Connect, HL7, T-SQL, C#, .NET, HTML5, Objective-C. I’m passionate about healthy eating after losing 22kg’s recently and enjoy playing badminton.
