The Brazilian Consulate in London has been using Q-Flow since April 2008. The initial configuration managed customer flow using a FIFO (First In, First Out) method.
In December 2011 they requested a radical change to the way the system worked due to the rapid increase in customer demand, which created excessive congestion in the consulate.
To address the new situation our partners, Q-nomy, created a fully hosted, cloud based solution with an online appointment booking system (OABS) in just a matter of days, using a rapid SDK (software development kit) for OABS.
The resulting solution offered the consulate many benefits; the largest being much reduced congestion due to the new appointment scheduling approach.
In a addition the new enhanced solution offered customers email invitations and reminders, and ticketless check-in using either greet & meet or self-service kiosks.
